From the Seattle Design Commission website, the agenda for their next public meeting this Thursday, January 17th, includes an “Arena” project briefing by the architect and real estate developer from 10:30am-12pm. So if you’re curious about the design of the Sonics’ (and a hockey team’s) future home in SODO, as well as how the city officials feel about it, head down to City Hall, Room L2-80. The Design Commission meetings are an interesting look into the bureaucratic phase of design. Just don’t expect for there to be any time allotted for public comments.
